Thank you for knocking it out of the park!

Everyone knows that the third time’s supposedly a charm, but does it actually work that way? It most certainly did for our 3rd annual Hustle for Muscle 5K and Happy Hour! Held on May 2 in NYC’s Riverside Park, we had a larger crowd than ever before (200+), the rain held out until everyone was under cover, and — most important — we exceeded our fundraising goal! Repeat runners and new faces came together to run (or walk) the course, raise a glass, and come through with a grand total of $83,200 to help defeat Duchenne. Our top fundraisers competed for fantastic prizes including dinner for 10 at Del Friscos steakhouse, a weekend getaway to the Berkshires, and a guided wine tasting with snacks at Tribeca hotspot Terroir.

Huge thanks to our top fundraisers Jeremy Chase, Jami Moore, Doreen Meyers and Samantha Kaplan. Each of our awesome teams brought something extra-special to the table, but we have to share two favorite highlights from our top fundraising teams. “I’ve Got The Runs” definitely wins for best team name. “Chachi’s Cheerleaders” gets big-time credit for bringing the most people (80 plus teammates!!

Stay tuned for information on Hustle for Muscle 2020!

Join us Dec 6th at Liana on NYC's UWS for a sip + shop to benefit Charley's Fund!

A giant thank you to Liana and board member Ellen Wilner for a fantastic Sip + Shop event at Liana Boutique on New York’s Upper West Side! More than $3,500 was raised for research — and a great time had by all, sipping and shopping with our wonderful supporters.

Interested in organizing your own Sip + Shop event? It’s one of our favorite new ways to speed research progress! Contact Stuart at Stuart[at]charleysfund.org.
